"Women of Outlaw’s Bridge Universalist Church
knit shawls they hope will do more than just keep human trafficking
victims warm. They hope they provide peace and healing, too."
Goldsboro News-Argus 08/26/2012
The Prayer Shawl Ministry, an
outreach ministry of Outlaw’s Bridge Universalist Church, began in May,
2012. Currently, two women knit or
crochet shawls that will soon be given to victims of human trafficking in
North Carolina. A card will accompany each shawl which reads, “May
the thoughts and prayers knitted into this shawl bring you comfort and
peace.”
For anyone interested in helping with this
project, please email the church at outlawsbridge@att.net or call the church
at 919-658-5267. Leave a message for Ann.
Once all the shawls are completed, they will be
sent to Pam Strickland, executive director of Eastern North Carolina Stop
Human Trafficking Now, and then distributed to the victims. For more
